Michael Häck will lead the two-day seminar in a relaxed atmosphere, by explaining the functions and operation of the measuring system SMAART v.7, theoretically and practically. This SMAART v.7 seminar is specifically tuned for the calibration of active beam steering systems and is aimed for beginners as well as experienced metrologists. Sound systems with beam steering technology such as the Pan Beam series of Pan Acoustics, require a different handling in metrology as for example conventional point source speaker systems. The seminar is conceived as an interactive dialogue with tutorials about how to effectively calibrate a beam steering system with SMAART v.7. For the seminar, various Pan Acoustics products will be used as test objects.

Seminar’s content:

Day 1: Basics of measurement technology, introduction to SMAART v.7, common measurements.

Day 2: Introduction to the various types of measurements, phase alignment and calibration of acoustic line with beam steering technology subwoofer and cardioids subwoofers.

By the end of the seminar, Mr. Udo Borgmann, Managing Director of Pan Acoustics GmbH will hold a small lecture about the application of the speakers with beam steering technology.
