Successful sound reinforcement in the cruise terminal

Active line arrays interacting with voice alarm system in Warnemünde cruise terminal

Large hall, lots of glass, demanding acoustics. Pan Acoustics met this challenge in the project for the sound reinforcement in the Cruise Terminal Rostock Port. Thanks to the use of active line column arrays from the Pan Beam series, excellent STI values were achieved.

Partner Telemann GmbH, responsible for the installation of the voice alarm system in the cruise terminal, was pleased with the smooth and convenient integration of Pan Acoustics loudspeakers.

New sound system for indoor horse riding arena

Acoustic responsibility for humans and animals

Pan Acoustics sound systems provide natural sound and maximum speech intelligibility. Animals also seem to appreciate this. Horses, known as sensitive companions, have an evolutionary flight instinct. A high volume can frighten a horse and, through spontaneous behavior, put novice riders in particular in danger.

An installation of line array speakers from the Pan Speaker series now creates a clear and distinct reproduction of both speech and music throughout the 7,500 square meter indoor riding arena.

Intelligible announcements at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

Pan Beam installation defies ambient noise

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is the largest international airport in France. With approximately 76.2 million passengers in 2019, it is the second busiest passenger airport in Europe after London Heathrow and the tenth busiest in the world. The airport was named after the French general and statesman Charles de Gaulle and is the international hub of Air France.

Terminal 1 was constructed as a circular building with an avant-garde design and comprises ten floors. The terminal building is surrounded by seven light-flooded, glazed satellite buildings.

The installation of several active, digitally controllable line array speakers from the Pan Beam series delivers flawless and intelligible announcements despite ambient noise in the building with its extremely challenging, reverberant acoustics.

Meeting room made from glass

Line array speakers from the Pan Beam series guarantee crystal-clear communication at Nestlé's headquarters

The meeting and conference room at Nestlé's French headquarters, measuring 20 by 6 meters, is entirely made of glass. This special architecture creates demanding requirements on optimal sound reinforcement for telephone conferences, seminars and workshops. Pan Beam series, PB 08, PB 04 and a subwoofer defy these conditions.

"The glass walls cause reverberation times of five seconds," reports Bruno Ghidionesco from Audiolead, who installed the Wolfenbüttel loudspeakers at Nestle together with Agelec. "After a comparison with other manufacturers, the choice clearly fell on products from Pan Acoustics." With the help of the sophisticated beam steering technology, the sound reaches the listeners directly, avoiding excessive reflections from the reflecting glass surfaces. Not only for the ears, but also for the eyes the products are a real treat! The high-quality processed Pan Beam speakers are made of aluminum and blend perfectly into the modern design of the glass room.

Safe and intelligible sound reinforcement in the largest office building in Germany

Pan Beam installation “The Squaire”, Frankfurt

With a total rentable area of 140,000 square meters, The Squaire is Germany's largest office building and is located directly at Frankfurt Airport.

The building, which architecture evokes associations with a whale or a large ship, houses next to offices two hotels, restaurants, medical practices, shops, but also a parking garage and a long-distance train station. The airport terminal can be reached in walking distance as well as the Frankfurt (Main) Airport train station.

Pan Acoustics supplied this transverse high-rise building with line array loudspeakers from the Pan Beam series, covering the impressive glass atriums with outstanding and powerful sound. In addition, the loudspeakers are integrated into the electro-acoustic emergency system according to EN 50849. In the event of an emergency, evacuation with intelligible announcements is guaranteed even in the event of a power outage.

The system is controlled and managed via the Bosch Praesideo central system.

With Pan Acoustics you understand every announcement

Active line arrays at Gare de Lyon station in Paris make announcements intelligible

"What track?" "How many minutes late?" Announcements at train stations are often difficult to understand. No wonder, with the background noise of trains arriving and departing or people chatting.

Bustling activity at Paris-Gare-de-Lyon station, one of the largest railway stations in Europe and a popular tourist attraction in France's capital. The terminus station was once built for the World's Fair of 1900. Its architecture is characterized by a richly ornamented, over 100 meters long façade with seven entrances to the station concourse, which glass saddle roofs on top.

To achieve the best possible sound results, including perfect speech intelligibility, the Paris-Gare-de-Lyon station was equipped with active, digitally controllable line source loudspeakers from the Pan Beam series. Thanks to the DSP modules built into each Pan Beam model, each loudspeaker can be individually adjusted to the target area to meet the ideal needs for coverage angle and reverberation times.
